MEDIAN Group, a leading pan-European provider of mental health, specialist care and rehabilitation services, reported another year of robust financial and operational performance in 2025, achieving 4% revenue growth alongside double-digit growth in adjusted EBITDA.
The performance reflects continued progress in efficiency measures and disciplined cost management. The Group has also made meaningful strides in streamlining and future-proofing its organisation, strengthening the foundation for sustainable, long-term value creation.
With a portfolio spanning MEDIAN in Germany, Priory in the UK and Hestia Health in Spain, the Group supported 323,000 patients and residents in 2025 – 14,000 more than the previous year.
Philipp Schulte-Noelle, MEDIAN Group CEO, said: “In 2025, we met our objective of extending high-quality care to more patients and residents, while maintaining quality scores and regulatory ratings that continue to exceed national averages.”
Dr Christian Göseke, Group Chief Financial Officer, continued: “MEDIAN Group met its financial targets and delivered strong top and bottom line results in 2025, driven by operational efficiencies and margin improvements. Adjusted operating cash flow has developed well and we invested €8.7 million in photovoltaic solar installations last year, operating across 72 of our sites.”
The Group continues to advance its proprietary digital strategy, launching a dedicated digital health brand called Rethera. Its first product, Rethera Mind, a digital aftercare solution for mental health, has now been rolled out across more than 30 clinics in Germany. The MEDIAN Group Lab – an innovation hub for new therapies and clinical concepts – is driving the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies. This includes the integration of VR-based therapy for addiction and anxiety treatment, cognitive and attentional training, and occupational therapy applications.
Additionally, a multi-site patient data collection initiative with tech partner PeakProfiling, is using AI-enabled voice biomarkers to support mental health assessment and has already enrolled 10,000 patients and collected more than 95,000 voice samples – the largest clinical-grade voice dataset in the world. The technology is now entering clinical validation through PeakMEDx, MEDIAN Group’s joint venture with PeakProfiling, marking a key step towards scalable, data-driven diagnostics in mental healthcare.
Philipp Schulte-Noelle, commented: “We strengthened our portfolio in 2025 through strategic acquisitions, including a residential rehabilitation service in the UK, and an acute inpatient facility and a specialist rehabilitation facility in Germany. Following a successful ~€920m-equivalent Term Loan B refinancing transaction that we recently completed, we are well positioned to continue our growth trajectory and achieve our 2030 goal of €3 billion in revenue, supporting 500,000 patients and residents, including 160,000 digital users.”
